Benefits of Membership

• Speakers: DGK provides members with the opportunity to meet professionals in the industry. DGK has professionals speak at monthly meetings and invites DGK members to meet and greet before and after. Previous DGK speakers include Bob Furnad, Emily Probst, and Jack Womack.
  
• Annual Banquet: DGK hosts an annual banquet to honor an individual to receive the DGK Distinguished Achievement Award in Broadcasting. Previous honorees include: Ted Koppel, Barbara Walters, Charlayne Hunter-Gault, Bob Furnad, and Linda Ellerbee.
  
• CNN Trip: DGK is committed to exposing its members to various aspects of the media industry. The DGK sponsored trip to CNN gives members the opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look of what goes into a successfully run news network.

Joining DiGamma Kappa
If you would like to become a member of Di Gamma Kappa, joining is simple! You can choose to pay dues for the whole year ($50), or if you’d like to try DGK out for the semester, you can pay separately in the fall and spring ($30 per semester). Yearly dues include all meetings, t-shirt, DGK-sponsored trips, and a seat at our yearly banquet. We accept cash or checks made out to Di Gamma Kappa.
